RB-M OUTREACH AND AWARENESS
Congratulations on receiving the new Response Boat – Medium (RB-M)! Because the RB-M is such a significant improvement of Coast Guard capabilities, people in your area will want to know about it. Here is some advice on coordinating the outreach and awareness component of delivery.
The most important support will be the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) chain. Their knowledge of communication channels can be a useful resource during RB-M delivery. Contact the PAO chain supporting you to begin coordination of the outreach and awareness effort.
The documents included are:
RB-M fact sheet. This provides background about the RB-M project, why the boat was needed, and what it can do.
RB-M PRO Fact Sheet
Press release template. This template may be used to provide information to local media about the boat’s delivery. Left click the link to view the Open or Save options box. Click Save to download the template directly to your computer. Click Open to view the template from the web site (click Cancel if an ID and password entry box appears).

4. If you need images, go to

Consider providing images to the local media to augment the press release. For posting on web sites, consider making a lower resolution copy for uploading.
